Beautiful Baltimore’s Sites, Sustenance, and Scene

Baltimore, the vibrant city on the world-renowned Inner Harbor in Chesapeake Bay, delights visitors with the sea, historic sites, and diverse neighborhoods. Shops, restaurants, and an arts and culture area appeal to varied tastes and budgets. The New York Times article and the Inner Harbor website describe a variety of interesting things to do and places to see while visiting the area. The Baltimore Water Taxis offer an enjoyable way to navigate from site to site.

Baltimore’s reputation for good food satisfies a broad range of preferences. Casual diners might enjoy Attman’s Deli situated along Baltimore’s landmark Corned Beef Row. Visit the Lexington Market, a Baltimore tradition, for the celebrated lump crab cakes at Faidley Seafood, and discover other goodies and treasures in the market‘s restaurants and shops. For dining aficionados, the Charleston restaurant is an award-winning and highly acclaimed restaurant in Baltimore’s burgeoning waterfront neighborhood, Harbor East. Baseball fans are in for a treat. The Baltimore Orioles are scheduled to play home games at Camden Yards between August 3-9. Attend a game or two, and attend InvestEd on August 6-8, 2010. Tour Babe Ruth’s Birthplace and Museum, a Baltimore row house that is just a long fly ball from Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

Baltimore has a wide choice of art, cultural, and historic museums. Railroad buffs will enjoy the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum. Those interested in seeing what the National Aquarium has to offer may preview the museum’s exhibits before seeing them in person.

Enjoy a walking experience of Baltimore’s most hist oric and interesting attractions. Explore the Star Spangled Trails that chart the course through our country’s heritage, wander through beautiful natural settings, and weave through lively neighborhoods. Along the way, visit the Star Spangled Banner Flag House.

If you enjoy a day at the zoo, head to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, the third-oldest zoo in the nation. Outdoor enthusiasts may want to go to the best backyard in Baltimore, Patterson Park Pagoda, which was built in 1891, or enjoy the activities at Little Italy.
